Up until this job, I have not stayed in a single company or position for more than 3 years. After 3 years or so I would usually feel like I had done and learned everything I could, so I found something else and moved on.
But when I was working at the Learning Systems Manager at the Naval Postgraduate School, things were constantly changing and they allowed me to take on new challenges, even though I was a contractor and was working a bit outside my contract.
When I was working in ITACS (NPS’ IT department) I was teaching instructors how to use the Learning Management System, Sakai as well as the Synchronous Meeting Tool, Blackboard Collaborate. I really enjoyed working with all of the Instructors, staff and students; getting to know them, troubleshooting their issues and providing advice on alternate technologies to use.
